The Port of Thunder Bay Thunder Bay - also referred to as The Lakehead is situated on the north shore of Lake Superior. It links the breadbasket of the prairies via rail to the markets in the east and Europe. The rusted structure on the right is the old ore dock. While ore is no longer shipped, tonnage of grain and pulses has grown dramatically in recent years.

Silos The port of Thunder Bay is important due its location on the north shore of Lake Superior. Grain from the west is shipped by rail to the port for transportation by ship to domestic and international markets.

Transportation Corridor Montreal The transportation corridor of Montreal is notable because of its network of roads and bridges connecting the island to the north and south shores of the St. Lawrence River. This is the St. Laurent Railway Bridge.
